Dallas weekend

January 20, 2008

This weekend we have been in Dallas for a few things…

  1. We had to clean out our old apartment.  We actually managed to do this within a few hours, which is surprising since the power was out in our area, and it was so freaking COLD!  I also didn’t realize all the crap we left in the apartment after we moved.  Oh well, all the things we wanted somehow found a place in the car, and the rest, well it’s all out by the dumpster. :P
  2. Melissa’s birthday bash.  It was SOOOO good to see everyone in Dallas again.  That’s the only thing we miss about leaving.  Even though we missed Cher, Dave, Jen, Matt and the baby, it was good to see everyone.  We helped Melissa celebrate her 30th birthday and said hello to everyone we didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to before we left.  We also got introduced to Rock Band, which is pretty freaking awesome! :)
  3. Stars game.  Before the move, I got Mark tickets to a Stars game for Christmas, since he’s never been to a hockey game.  We are about to go see the Aneheim (Mighty) Ducks :P play the Stars.  I’m a little torn who I’m going to be cheering for, so I just figure I’ll go for both!!
  4. Waco (on the way back).  Finally, we’ll end our fantastic weekend with a stop in Waco to see my three best friends.  I haven’t seen any of them since November, so I’m anxious to spend some time with them.  Also we’re finally exchanging Christmas gifts.  :P

We’ve had a great weekend (so far) and I’m sure it’s going to be even better after the game and Waco.  Everyone in Dallas (and Waco) needs to come visit.. maybe for the Super Bowl and Mark’s birthday?!?!?! :P

Welcome!!!!

January 15, 2008

I wanted to say hello to everyone reading and thank you for stopping by!  We have decided to create a blog to help all our friends and family stay up-to-date on what’s going on in our world.

We are pretty much settled and unpacked in our new apartment in Austin.  It’s HUGE!!  At almost 1350 square feet, we have PLENTY enough room, so if you’re in the area, definitely stop by.  We still have some pictures to put up, but other than that, we’re pretty much done!

Also, Major LOVES his new apartment.  He spends most of the day either looking out the window, sunbathing in the patio blinds, or sleeping in one of his many favorite chairs.  He’s sound asleep (big surprise!) right next to me on the couch right now.

I’ll update more soon, but if anyone has any news or suggestions, feel free to either email me or send me comments.  Also check out our other links!  Have a wonderful day!
